The rumor mill has been grinding all sorts of juicy information about a possible buyout of twist to buy Apple. With a $29 billion surplus building up in their war chest, it must be burning a hole in their pocket and they are keen to obtain the micro-blogging platform to bolster the already excellent product line.

However, Apple is not the only one with our eyes on the big prize. Google is reportedly interested in buying out and integrating Twitter to integrate it into their  own technology suite. This is an interesting move by Google, who is renowned for buying up popular social media websites like YouTube and MySpace. Integrating the micro-blogging platform into their own range of tools will certainly cement their hold on the Internet’s most popular websites and their reach into our lives.
